Sammy and his family

On Thursday, October 10th, Sammy was working his shift at the convenience store with a co-worker.  His co-workers daughter went out front to take the trash out.  When she got back, she opened the door and that's when they realized she was in a headlock with a gun pointed to her. She was able to get away while the suspect started shooting. The suspect hit Sammy's coworker in the leg and Sammy in his backside. The suspect hasn't been caught and is still on the loose.
They are unable to remove the bullet from Sammy's body. He also has had to have a major surgery due to stomach and bowel damage. The bullet broke a small bone in his pelvis. Currently, he is not allowed to eat and is receiving fluids via IV. He has a tube down his nose that is emptying out his stomach and is on blood thinners to prevent clotting in his legs while he is stuck in bed. He will also have to have another  major surgery on his stomach and bowels in the following months. As everyone knows, we have a big family (4 kids) and Sammy won't be able too work for a good while. I am trying my best to keep our family afloat with my job but Sammy is going to have a long road to recovery and is going to need assistance. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support.
