Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read. My name is Ron and I live alone with my two pups in South Georgia.

Why I'm fundraising

I have been in a wheelchair since 2018 due to an injury sustained years earlier as a firefighter. While in a wheelchair I have had a job and supported myself and forgoing living on disability.

Recently that all changed after I was let go from my job the week before Thanksgiving. It was unexpected and caught me off guard. While I have been looking for a job nonstop since, nothing has come up. Not even an interview. Now I have found myself behind on rent and in going through the eviction process. I’ve done a lot of difficult things in my life but this is by far the hardest. Asking for help is not easy. I’ve found myself two months behind on rent and with no employment opportunities in sight. It is my hope that I can get caught up on this rent and move to a place more affordable.

The impact of your support

Any funds raised here will go towards my rent and utilities and hopefully a new start in a more affordable place.

I understand that there a lot of these types of post during this time of year. However, before you judge and make rude comments think of how it must feel to the person that has to ask for help. It’s not a proud moment for us either. Thank you.
