Today, June 5th, our beautiful Rommy went home to be with the Lord. We are with extremely heavy hearts to share this unfortunate news. She was an amazingly beautiful, smart, joyful, generous, and kind person. We lose a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a great friend to so many.
On Memorial Day she had an unexpected spike in her blood pressure which resulted in a bleeding stroke in the stem of her brain. Tragically, due to the severity and location of the injury, she fell into a deep coma with a 0% chance of recovery. After nearly two weeks of being on life support, we are devastated and beyond heartbroken to lose someone so dear to many of us. Rommy was and always will be a bright light in our family and to many others. We all can’t imagine life without her, she will be forever missed.
So many family and friends have reached out asking how you can help us. Instead of the generosity of food, flowers, or gifts, we are asking for your help and love to contribute to this GoFundMe so we can take 100% of those funds to pay for the funeral, memorial, and any medical costs. Any amount will be greatly appreciated.
Due to Covid-19, we are unable to have a Celebration of Life memorial at this time, but we will have a one as soon as we are able to find a place where we can all be together and celebrate.
Please note: David Zapp is my brother, he paid for the funeral and we are transferring the money to him.
