On January 12th I had to call 911. I had found Robert Carnelison on the floor in severe screaming pain not able to move legs. He was hospitalized and had to have an emergency back surgery making him unable to work. Somewhere between 1/15/20 and 2/14/20 he picked up an e-coli infection that abscessed around his spine/surgical sight. While he was in Texas trying to get back to work because bills were piling up. He had to go into emergency room. After that they admitted him and had to transfer him to a different hospital where they had a back specialist that could help him. Right as he arrived to that hospital on 2/15/20 they took him straight to surgery. They had to scrap and wash a abscess infection out of his back. They had to put drains in his back to clear out any infection/fluid out. After surgery they had him on morphine drip that caused showllow breathing which caused him to get pneumonia so he had to be put on high levels of oxygen and have breathing treatments 3 times a day. On 2/20/20 they removed the drains hoping to be able relieve some pain. Unfortunately that didn't work it just caused more severe pain that took him back to the beginning. After that Doctor had to put him on a stronger pain meds that barely took away the pain. On 2/22/20 the surgeon decided he needed to open him back up to scrap and wash more infection out. His findings were that infection was now deeper. So doctor put the drains back in but deeper this time that has made Robert's pain 50% less. Robert is now trying to recover from everything being weaned off IV pain medication and trying to walk. He has to be on IV antibiotics for the next 6 to 12 weeks and that is holding him up from being able to come home. Case worker Pam is working hard on finding an infectious disease doctor that will take on his case here in California. Untill then his 3 kids are missing him dearly they want there daddy home. They want to go visit but travel and stay is so expensive. So we are all praying he gets to come home soon. After all of the hospital stay his medical bills are going to be sky high since he's not a resident of Texas and insurance don't want to cover any cost not in California. Also his bills are still piling up and he will not be able to work any time soon. Hes normally a vary  hard worker. He works long hours just so he can take care of his children.
