Welcome! Ever heard of PROG:FUNK? Contribute to my GoFundMe, and you will!

My name is Roland Guerin. I’ve been a touring bassist for such greats as Allen Toussaint, Dr. John, John Scofield, and Paul Gilbert. I’m doing this GoFundMe to help me record my newest album, “Bridge to Open Waters” [That-A-Way Productions] which features a new style of music I created called PROG:FUNK.

PROG:FUNK merges progressive music with old-school Louisiana melodies, rhythms and storytelling. Inspired by my mentors, Allen Toussaint, Dr. John, Alvin Batiste, Ellis Marsalis, and all the other legends I’ve had the honor of touring and performing with, I’m setting out to push the boundaries of music while remaining true to my roots.

The money raised from this GoFund me will go towards recording, mixing, mastering and promoting my album as well as creating music videos for it.

The goal is to release the album in the first quarter of 2023.

All Donations get a single digital download upon release. $500 and up will be thanked by name on the album and will receive access to live video footage of the recording, mixing and mastering of “Bridge To Open Waters.”
