Dearest Friends and Family,

Please take a moment to consider helping a wonderful family going through an unimaginable loss. My good friend Rebecca Harmon Cofino lost her beloved husband, Andres, to cancer on Sunday night, September 14th. Rebecca and her two boys, Jack (15) and Max (17), have spent the last three years weathering this hardship alongside Andres.

Andres was diagnosed in 2022, and they thought that treatment worked, but his cancer metastasized a year later. He spent two years undergoing all treatments available and participating in two clinical trials, but nothing stopped the cancer from growing. Rebecca was his full-time caregiver, and she will now start to rebuild her career to support her family. Any money raised would go to bridging that gap or put aside for the boys' education.

Andres was a Cuban immigrant, moving to the U.S. when he was 8 years old. He worked as an X-ray tech and massage therapist. He had a humanitarian's heart and many, many friends. His passions were cycling, dogs, dancing, and spending time in nature. He was fascinated by outer space. He was a devoted family man, married for 18 years. He loved being a dad and spent all his free time playing with his boys and telling dad jokes. He was an amazing father, husband, and friend, and he is sorely missed.
