The recent events at Cornell University have started a national conversation about sexual violence on college campuses. That includes what happens inside Greek life, and how survivors are treated when they come forward. Stories like this one are not isolated. They're a reminder that sexual violence affects every campus and every community, and that survivors deserve to be believed, supported, and heard.
As a fraternity, we believe we have a responsibility to be part of the solution, not just bystanders to the conversation. So we're joining the growing nationwide effort to prevent sexual assault and raise awareness by raising money for RAINN.
About RAINN
RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization. Its mission is to stop sexual violence by supporting survivors, holding perpetrators accountable, and creating safer communities.
Since answering its first call in 1994, RAINN has helped more than 5.5 million survivors and their loved ones. Its work includes:
- The National Sexual Assault Hotline: free, confidential support 24/7 by phone (800-656-HOPE), online chat, or text, in English and Spanish
- A nationwide network of more than 1,000 local sexual assault service providers, so survivors can get care close to home
- The DoD Safe Helpline: support for survivors in the U.S. military
- Education and policy work to prevent sexual violence and strengthen laws that protect survivors
How you can help
Every donation goes directly to RAINN through GoFundMe's charity fundraiser, and helps keep the hotline answering and survivors connected to care.
No matter the size of your donation, you're helping make sure no survivor has to face what happened alone. Thank you for standing with us and with survivors everywhere.
If you or someone you know has been affected by sexual violence, help is available 24/7 at 800-656-HOPE or rainn.org.
