For Pippin

Pippin has been diagnosed with kidney failure, and the emergency vet is asking for $9,000 to start treatment. He needs a blood transfusion and potentially more care. I am brokenhearted and not ready to say goodbye to Pippin. My followers suggested a gofundme so here it is. Thank you for all of your help if you can. I hope I can come back with a positive update.

(Friday)UPDATE: Hey all! Thank you so much for your generous help! This is absolutely making the difference, Pippin is now home with us, and we have been given directions on what to monitor for.
My partner was the one who took Pippin to the vet and has updated me on some positive things that the vet noted during the intake examination:
1. The vet does not think there is an infection due to the lack of inflammation or level of pain expected during the exam.
2. For that same reason, the vet also suspects it is not chronic but rather acute from becoming extremely dehydrated.
Before all of this, Pippin had been to the vet for a blockage, Pippin ate a plastic bag that he managed to pass on his own, but he refused to eat or drink for two days, after which is how we are now here with a very tired and dehydrated cat with blood work numbers that scared the entire vet office.
The plan now is to watch him closely. If he improves, we will be bringing him back in on Monday either way for more tests to make sure he pulls through. We have a possible solution here that we are going to work towards. Thank you again for everything!

(Saturday Morning) UPDATE: I am on the phone with Pippins's vet to figure out a game plan for his care. He did well overnight and is napping now, but he really does need an IV and a blood transfusion. Aiming to have him back at the vet by this afternoon.
