Hi, I'm Ruth.

I'm humbly fundraising on behalf of my family. I recently moved to Canada and am still in the early stages of building a life here.

My father is currently in the ICU. He was discharged from the hospital on June 25th but was rushed back the very next day after experiencing respiratory failure. He was placed on a ventilator for 10 days and later had to undergo a tracheostomy. He remains on life support, with unstable blood pressure and severe swelling in his arms and legs.

His lungs are filled with fluid, making it very difficult for him to breathe. A tube was inserted into his right lung to help drain the fluid, and his left lung has been drained multiple times—but the fluid keeps coming back, with more than a liter coming out each day. Doctors recommended inserting a permanent drain, but my father has chosen not to proceed with it due to how weak and tired he already is.

He has been battling Stage IV thyroid cancer since 2021, and this is by far the most critical and heartbreaking chapter we've faced. Our family has now exhausted all our financial resources.
