Our son Jesse who we also call Papa is 19 years old just graduated high school in June and he was working is in critical condition right now at the UCSF hospital in San Francisco fighting for his life. They transported him by airplane from the St. Agnes Hospital in Fresno, Ca on August 13th and they put him on life support.
It all started 3 weeks ago when he was supposed to have a removal of his gall bladder but his heart stopped for 5 minutes four minutes into surgery. They revived him and discovered he had a lot of fluid around his heart and other organs and he has a very enlarged heart. They diagnosed him with severe Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), as a result of his heart stopping his liver and kidneys got shocked and now aren't doing good. He is on continuous kidney dialysis. They did an MRI on his brain and he does have some brain injury because of the lack of oxygen to his brain....He has a trach in his throat which is helping his airway. He is dependent on the breathing machine for oxygen. He is still sedated. They are trying to wean him off the sedation but he is not responding to any commands. They don't know what his neurological state will be until he is fully off sedation.

I as his mother and our family have been in San Francisco and have not left his side. I'm there everyday at his bedside praying and being there with him. It's been so hard on all of us to see him like this. It's expensive being out here with the hotel costs, gas and food. We are very grateful and appreciate of anything anyone donates to us.
