On July 13, 2020, Azerbaijani forces commenced an unprovoked attack against the Armenian border city of Berd and Tavush region, violating the terriotorial integrity of Armenia, and killing four Armenian heroes. All funds collected will be distributed equally to the next of kin of the slain soldiers in Armenia.
UPDATE: We have made contact with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's office, and also with the Department of Defense of Armenia to ascertain the next of kin of the four soldiers. NO FUNDS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED WITHOUT VETTING AND CONFIRMING THE INFORMATION OF THE RECIPIENTS. The initial $40,000 will be divided equally between the families of the four fallen soldiers. If the funds surpass $40,000, all excess funds will be distributed to other emergency causes in Armenia. This process MUST be transparent, and donors MUST be informed and involved in all decisions to ensure that the funds have the maximum benefit to its recipients. All records will be maintained to ensure the transparency of this fund raiser, and will be available for inspection for all upon request.
