For Our Mother Marsuang E. Riley Funeral.

Hello everyone,

My name is David Cook Jr. I am here to try my best to get up the money to bury my mom Marsuang Elizabeth Riley. A lot of people know her by the name of Cookie or Cook-Cook.

I’ve never actually been good at the Art of Persuasion. Selling anything or trying to persuade people is not in my nature. So, hard as this is, I must humbly ask for support and help with gathering funds to lay my mom to rest decently.

January 23, 2023 is the day my mom took her last breath. She called me on the phone complaining she couldn't breathe. With an ambulance already en-route, I tried to keep her calm. But it was to no use. As we listened on, the paramedics arrived within 4 minutes of her losing consciousness, they tried, but were unable to revive her. Just a few hours earlier she was just as lively, energetic, and playful as she could be. Plans had

just been made for the upcoming spring season and all. God has canceled everything without notice.

What's even more painful is she had no life Insurance or even a bank account. My mom just started receiving SSI and gotten her first apartment in 15 years after being homeless these past 3 years. Everything had just started to turn around just to fall apart. It's very difficult to do any of this but there is no other choice. . .I must ask friends, family, and even strangers for help. Cremation services, which is the least expensive option, starts at $4,000. I believe burial assistance will only help us with $600 to $700. The rest is on us the family. Please donate /contribute if you can.
