On the early morning of December 24th our dear friend Mayte Torres Echevarría was murdered by her husband and right after he tried to kill himself. Mayte was a mother of two, a beautiful friend, an amazing nurse, and an even better person. Mayte always advocated so much for the human life no matter what, she was always there for her patients and her friends. She was full of laughter and charisma. Above all else she loved her children. Aside from that her passion was to teach others by passing along the knowledge that was inside her. She would always go above and beyond for the people she loved. She was our friend and our family. We are arranging funeral expenses and expenses for her dad who will be taking care of her two children.
Her two children are going to be living in her house with her dad and in order for her dad to be able to keep up with her house and keep from moving the children and causing more trauma to Alicia and Johnny they need to raise more money.
