Our lovely Mrs Moore... from Eldean School

For well over 18 years, Cathy Moore has been Headteacher at Duston Eldean Primary School. As she closes in on nearly two decades, she has taken the difficult decision to retire where she hopes to rediscover some of her hobbies and passions, as well as spend more time with her family and venture on some new and exciting travels.

Under her leadership and unwavering dedication, Cathy has transformed the school, creating an environment of positivity where our children flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

As well as guiding hundreds of children through their time at primary school, Cathy has supported countless parents and families and will always have an open door whenever any member of our school community needs guidance, support or simply a listening ear.

Cathy truly believes that being kind and thoughtful to others should be at the heart of a school’s ethos and she is leaving Eldean with this firmly embedded in our school.

With her time at Eldean coming to a close in July, we know some people would like to share in thanking Cathy for her commitment, kindness and care. The Friends of Duston Eldean have created a Go Fund Me page, if you would like to make a donation towards her leaving gift which will hopefully be presented at the Summer Fair on July 12th. We would love you all to come along to this event which is happening between 12pm - 3pm to make this a very special last community event for her here at Duston Eldean Primary School.
