For our little Warrior Roman

It is with a heavy heart we feel it is time to share with you some heartbreaking news.

On Saturday, March 2nd our world stood still for a moment. After an abnormal blood test result, Roman’s parents were advised to rush him to the Emergency Room at Children's Hospital. Within hours his parents, Heather and Steve, were told the unthinkable - their 4 year old son Roman was diagnosed with leukemia and would need to be admitted to the hospital to begin treatment immediately.

Shortly thereafter, it was confirmed Roman has B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-cell ALL). Although rare, ALL is the most common form of pediatric cancer. Thanks to incredible developments in modern medical practice, most of those children (nearly 90%) make a full recovery and live a healthy life. But no matter how high the success rates, it is a terrifying experience to learn that your child has been diagnosed with this disease and must undergo chemo treatments to be cured. Roman’s bravery and resilience to the treatment has us humbled and awe-inspired.

The Capraro’s are an asset to their family, friends, and community. They are always willing and ready to serve others. To say that they are the most loving and nurturing family is truly an understatement. In addition to Roman, Heather and Steve have a 6 year old daughter Mila who is in the first grade and most recently welcomed their third baby, Georgie Eva just 3 months ago. Heather and Steve are doing everything they can to ensure all of their children receive the best love and care they can during this challenging time. Many hospital visits/overnight stays lay ahead during this treatment plan for Roman’s cure. Positive thoughts, prayers, and energy are of the utmost importance and very much needed and appreciated.

Many have asked how they could help. Helping Relieve them from some of the financial pressures will allow them to prayerfully focus on the love and mutual support needed during treatment, healing and recovery. I know they, as well as their loved ones, would be eternally grateful.
