Hey everyone! We could really use your help. Our friend and co-worker Zuleyma Ramirez was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) in April 2022. The good news is they found her a perfect match bone marrow transplant donor. The bad news is for the procedure her out of pocket cost is $19,000. That’s a small fraction of what her insurance is paying but still way too much for her and her family to afford without help. She is the mother of two beautiful children, a 16 y/o daughter and a 9 y/o son. She has a loving fiancé, and a happy life ahead of her. She is an occupational therapy assistant and has worked throughout the pandemic to care for many in the community. We feel it’s only fair to help give back, and care for her in return. In order to have the procedure, she has to pay her portion of the hospital fees by August.
