Hello everyone! My name is Candy Britton and I am getting this fundraiser started for my friend of 37 yrs., Donna Gregory. I‘m so proud to be able to call Donna my friend. If you‘ve ever met Donna, it‘s safe to say she has made a lasting impact on us all, in the very best way possible!
Donna is that person who always comes to your rescue, that person who helps everyone else no matter the cost! If she thinks someone is doing without, they will not be for long if Donna hears about it! She‘s always thinking of others, family, friends and coworkers, way before herself. She honestly has the biggest heart of anyone I’ve ever known or ever will know. If I had to describe Donna in one word , the very first word that comes to mind is Selfless!
Donna and Glenn have been married for 33 yrs. They have 2 sons, Hunter, who is married to ShaNiece and Thatcher. Donna is some what of a workaholic who absolutely loves her job which has been with FedEx for the past 13 yrs. Donna’s story starts approximately 3 months ago. Donna had just found out she was a diabetic and shortly after this diagnosis she had a very serious infection and had to have her left big toe amputated. Following this procedure 2 angioplasties would be performed to try to increase the blood flow in this left leg. Unfortunately, Donna would end up having an amputation, loosing all of her toes and half of her foot. Later they would have to go into the foot and scrape out and remove more infection. After being released from her 3 wk. stay in the hospital she was at home trying to heal when she stumped her 2nd toe on her right foot while using her knee scooter. Eventually, Donna would be readmitted back in the hospital for another angioplasty on her right leg, 3 blood transfusions from veins bleeding out in the leg, a case of MRSA and another amputation of the second toe on her right foot. She is home now with a picc line for her meds. and trying to heal from MRSA. Donna’s life has been changed drastically!
Donna has given us all so much and always with lots of joy and a smile on her face. Can we please show her how very much she is loved and help out our precious friend! May I please ask for any support you are able to give, a kind donation of any amount and prayers would be greatly appreciated! Donna has collected a lot of out of pocket medical bills, expenses for treatment and equipment. I would love for us to be able to help her with some of the financial stress at this devastating time!
