For our friend Deb
This gofund me is for our dear, sweet,
beautiful Deb and her
family. These are uncertain times for all of us,
leaving us worn by
stress and worry. Deb has faced the added
burden of being
diagnosed with with stage 4 Intrahepatic
Cholangiocarcinoma.
This is a rare cancer that develops in the cells within the bile ducts, both inside and outside
the liver. Deb has been undergoing
difficult treatments since December, looking
for a therapy that
might keep the cancer from continuing to
spread.
For all of you who have met Deb, you know
how she can light up a room. She is a person
you never forget - a friendly optimist always
brightening everyone's day. Cheerful, honest , and bubbly, you had to be drawn to her.
Immediately, you know she is someone
special. She may have inspired you, helped
you, or maybe just made a particular small
moment better for you in some way. Selfless,
positive, and so generous. She is someone you can always count on to give whatever she can . That is our Deb, one of the strongest
women we know.
Some of you may have met her as the inviting and personable
concierge working the lounge at the Marriott. Some as the
magnetic flight attendant working as part of your crew. Some as
the energetic fitness coach at the Y. Or maybe as the talented and friendly massage therapist working a health fair or at a
corporation. Sometimes it seemed like Deb
was working everywhere, possessing the
energy to make so many people happy on a
given day. We have heard her described as a
force of nature - always with a smile and an ability to spark joy in the people around her.
We know her best as a supportive colleague from our time
together as flight attendants, but no matter how you met Deb and how short a time you spent with her, undoubtedly you think of her as a close friend. She has touched so many of us, both above the
clouds and on the ground. Now it is our time to show her the love! We would like to help her through this tough time with the
medical bills and everyday expenses that have become impossible for her and her family to manage.
As much as Deb gives, she would never ask others for help. We
know Deb and her family will be so very
thankful for any
donations we can raise to ease some of their financial stress and to show our gratitude for all Deb has given us as a friend and
colleague.
One hundred percent of donations will go towards their living
expenses, including medical bills.
With love and gratitude, Jaclyn and Shannon.
