For our Eugene

Two certainties in the life of a Liverpool supporter in Los Angeles are belting out "You'll Never Walk Alone" at our Joxer Daly's before kickoff and having a friend in Eugene Patrick Ganley.

Anyone who has ever visited our local has a Eugene story. Whether he's greeted you warmly, poured you a pint (on him), or just been there for you when you most needed someone, we can all agree that Eugene is a remarkable person. Many, many of us count some of our best memories with Eugene involved, and that's not putting anything lightly. He's a great friend and there aren't enough words. He's one of those people.

Currently, our Eugene is stuck in Ireland undergoing therapy. Long story short: he lost all feeling in his legs from one day to the next. He didn't want anyone to know but word got out, as it often does. In this case, for the better (hopefully). Many of us count our fellow supporters as family, and this is the chance to step up for a integral member of that family - he knows us, takes care of us, and is always there for us. Now we have the chance to return the favor. Think of it as paying him back for all the discounts and free pints he's given you over the years, if you must, but show up for our Eugene.

If you're playing in the Westside Derby this weekend, we ask for a minimum donation of $20, to get the ball rolling. If you're not participating but coming to show your support, anything you could give is appreciated.
