For our darling boy, James

Our darling boy James lost his battle with mental health on the 8th December 2023 at 29 years of age.

Everyone that knew our James, knew him as the most wonderful, sensitive and caring soul who would do anything to support those who needed it the most. But also James suffered from some very bad, dark times - more so since his mum died 10 years ago and his dad 7 years ago, and he never really got over these losses.

Despite all his demons, James battled every single day, defying the odds and showing everyone just how strong he was. Yet, we believe he was failed by the very system there to protect him and one we fought constantly for, to keep him safe.

His loss is heartbreaking, not only for us as a family but for everyone who was lucky enough to meet James and share his love and light.

As this has come as such a shock, and one that we were not expecting to happen so soon, we are asking everybody, however small, if you would like to make a donation to give James the send off he deserves then we will be forever grateful.

I cannot express the outpouring of love, messages and support we have received for my darling James, my boy, and it is amazing to see how many lives James has touched and how many people James has supported on similar journeys to his own.

Sadly, we could never have predicted this end, as James was doing really well and was going to join us for Christmas.

To say we are devastated and heartbroken is an understatement, no words will ever give him justice for the amazing man that he was and for this, we want to give him a funeral that was as amazing as him.
