Help Document the Genius of Slam Poet Jim Dwyer
Donation protected
This is an invitation from “Friends of Jim Dwyer” (Michael Bashaw, Sandy Bashaw and Jan Underwood) to help us celebrate the powerful poetry of this local legend (and lead singer of The Slugs!). Jim has been a pillar of our poetry community, inspiring and captivating audiences with his compelling work for over two decades.
We've arranged to document his work in a recording session, ensuring that Jim’s poetry is captured in the best possible way. It will be filmed and edited into a high-quality video by Emmy award winning filmmaker, David Sherman. Your support will help cover production costs, studio expenses and technical equipment needed for the recording. Finished videos will be published on YouTube.
By supporting this campaign, you are not only helping to preserve the legacy of slam poetry but also supporting the creative work of this great local artist. Your donation will make a meaningful difference in ensuring that the project is a success and that Jim’s poetry continues to inspire.
How You Can Help:
• Donate: Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference.
• Share: Spread the word about this campaign on social media and with friends and family.
Thank you for considering supporting this important project. Together, we can ensure that Jim Dwyer’s poetry is celebrated and shared. Join us in keeping the art of slam poetry alive and thriving!
