Daughter of Kara Walsh and Craig Seiffert

Beni (16 yrs old) was involved in an automobile accident during the early morning of Friday (October 8, 2021). Beni had traveled to one of her favorite spots to enjoy the silence, just on the outskirts of Billings, MT. On her way home, she drifted off the road and down an embankment; her car began to roll there. Beni was ejected from the vehicle and into a barbwire fence.

Her dad was expecting her home, and when she did not show, the police were called. Despite everyone's best efforts, they could not locate Beni J. Hours later, with the help of the morning light, she was discovered by an off-duty firefighter, followed by her father and then an off-duty nurse. They all worked to get Beni out of the barbwire and comfort her until help could get there. She was then life-flighted to St. Vincent.

Beni suffered multiple injuries: subdural hematoma, multiple facial fractures, a broken jaw, rib fractures, sternum fracture, ruptured spleen, broken fingers, numerous fractures of the pelvis, and femur fracture. Beni underwent a craniotomy to address the hematoma- the primary goal is to protect/stabilize the brain. Then will come multiple orthopedic surgeries.

"Though she but little, she is fierce." If you ever had the pleasure to meet Beni, you know she is a force to reckoned with. If anyone can make it out of this, it will be her.

 

As Beni's aunt, sister to Kara, I hope to help ease the financial strains that will come from multiple medical bills related to the care for Beni.
