It is with unimaginably heavy hearts that we share news of the loss of our beloved mom, sister, daughter, niece, aunt, grandma and friend, Shi’mayazhi, my Aunt Margaret Billy. After a long fight due to illness related to COVID-19, the Lord called my auntie Margaret home late yesterday afternoon, August 22, 2020 here in Mesa, AZ.
Our lives were changed in an instant and we are trying to process this as well as we can. My auntie was a vital part of our family. We are putting our hearts in God's hands to get us through this. As our family comes together, we will begin making final arrangements and share information with our loving and extended friends and family. Margaret is the 3rd sibling to: Eric Billy (deceased), Gladys Billy, Lucy Johnson, Marilou Williams, Lollie Curley, Jerry Billy, Clarence Billy and Leroy Billy.
Family & friends know my aunt as a compassionate, giving, caring person. She was very strong-willed and passionate. She was also very tender and kind. She opened her home to everyone and always, always helped when it was needed. Her example will be one we will continue to follow and she will never leave our hearts.
As we begin navigating, we have elected to post this page as monetary means to help Jason in making final arrangements for his mom. As plans unfold, we will share the information with you, our friends and family. Unfortunately, we cannot accept in-person visits at this time. We must continue to follow state and county as well as CDC guidelines for appropriate distancing for everyone’s safety.
We ask that you keep our family in your prayers. Please pray especially for my brother Jason. He was her only son, whom she loved more than life itself. The next few days will be ones that we never thought he would ever have to go through.
Lastly, it is our plea to everyone to continue being vigilant in stopping the spread of this unrelenting virus. It knows no boundaries and has shown us how unforgiving it is. Please keep yourselves and your families safe by wearing a mask and washing your hands as often as possible.
