To anybody reading this, thank you for taking the time to read our story. On August 11, 2022 at 9:38am, weighing 14 ounces, we welcomed our precious baby boy, Leonardo Daniel “Leo” to this earth. He right away surprised doctors by how active he was and the mighty little fighter he was. The doctors continued to be surprised by how healthy his heart was and how he fought for as long as he did. He moved so much, all the nurses loved visiting Leo because yet his size was small, he surpassing what the doctors and nurses expected from him. At the hospital the NICU rooms were labeled by animals and our baby boy was in the Lion’s Den. It couldn’t have been anymore perfect. His name fit him perfectly, he had a heart of a lion, he was so brave, a fighter, and strong. Leo passed away in mama’s arms on August 16, 2022 at 6:02pm. He wrapped his little fingers around mamas finger and didn’t let go. He was an answered prayer, he was the boy that we needed for our family. In just his short time with us, Leo made a large impression on our hearts that will last a lifetime. We are truly grateful for God giving us such an amazing family. We have been given the honor of having 4 children, 2 of which are already in heaven, and 2 that we get to hold nice and tight.
