Our community is coming together to support someone who has given so much to us all.

Our beloved friend, neighbor, and chef, Nicole Monte, is currently in the ICU after an unexpected medical crisis that required emergency heart surgery. Because of hours without circulation, she is also facing kidney failure and undergoing intensive treatment. Her recovery will be long and difficult, but there is hope .. We know that with the love of this community behind her, she won’t face it alone.

Nicole is not only a gifted Executive Chef who has led/ found Vienna Café & Bistro for the past 28 years, but also a devoted single mother who raised her two daughters on her own. She poured her heart into both her family and her career, becoming a cornerstone of Cooper City in the process.

She’s a local foodie, a loyal friend, and a familiar face who has always brought people together — whether through her meals at Vienna Café, her presence at Geronimo’s, or her unwavering kindness. Chances are, if you’ve lived in Cooper City, you’ve shared a plate she created or a laugh in her company.

Now, as Nicole fights through this critical stage of recovery, the weight of medical bills and living expenses is falling on her family. As a single mother, she has always carried so much on her own shoulders. Today, it’s our turn as a community to help her.
