It's my pleasure to introduce you to this extraordinary man, Nick Kinney. Nick graduated from Suny Brockport in 2014 with a dual degree in Business and Psycology. He planned on going to school in the fall of 2020 to pursue a degree in Law. He had already taken his LSATS, and was working for a company called Paychex. When at the end of 2018 tragedy struck.
On November 9th at approximately 10:40pm Nick Kinney was walking home and was stuck by a car in down town Rochester NY. I would like to stress that this was not the drivers fault and our hearts go out to the individual who was involved. Nick suffered extensive injuries including severe brain trauma. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where a team of doctors and surgeons did all they could to save Nick's life. He was in a coma in ICU for two weeks and was not showing much hope for regaining normal brain activity, but he woke up! He started to breath on his own and on February 6th 2019 he was moved to Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital where again an amazing team of doctors and specialists work with him daily. Unfortunately Nick remains non verbal and is only responding to a very few commands. We have so much hope and we are reaching out to other for help. Nick's family is with him every day. Both his father and mother travel over 5 hours to make sure he's not alone. They have taken many days off work without pay and the expenses of all this is more then they can handle. Please donate anything that you can and keep them in your prayers.
