For Nancy, the love of my life

We met in New York City as she came into my restaurant with her girlfriends. I was immediately struck by her flashing, beautiful eyes and warm laugh...I was in love and we got married 3 months later. 39 years and counting she has been the mother of our two beautiful sons and my greatest supporter throughout our life's adventures.
She is also the bravest and most powerful woman I've ever meet, who has battled emotional and physical issues her whole life, but has remained positive and loving to those fortunate enough to know her. Six years ago she almost died when her colon had to be removed through emergency surgery. Now, One month ago she fell down our stairs and received a Traumatic Brain Injury and was not expected to live...but she had other ideas
Once again she is beating the odds and is now talking, singing and starting to feed herself...she is a fighter. The recovery will still be long, and rehabilitation will be costly beyond the insurance. The insurance is running out and we will have to start pay for in home nursing next month as well crucial physical, occupational and speech therapy. I would also like to hear from people who have loved ones who have been affected by brain injury.
Nancy and I have been educators our whole life, and Nancy is a gifted tutor who has worked miracles with ADHD kids because of her incredible ability to get them to believe in themselves and never give up. I am helping to start San Diego's first tuition free boarding high school for disengaged. underserved kids...we have always been about giving back to others
I am asking for your kind support so that we may please give my best friend and wife of 39 years the support she needs and deserves...she will never stop fighting, and loving life!
