Barn fire with death of goats, help support my kid’s hobby
Donation protected
Hello my name is Rachel and I am fundraising to help my two children. We had a barn fire today (04/03/24) and nine of my children’s goats died in the barn fire. The small barn we had the goats in was also a complete loss. This was a heartbreaking tragedy on are little farm. I personally will never forget what I had to see after the fire. We lost two mother goats and seven baby goats in the fire. They were locked up in the barn to keep them safe from the winter weather and they were not able to get out when the fire occurred. My heart goes out to every single goat we lost in the fire and what they had experienced during the fire. The goats were our pets and we became attached to every single one. My children have been working extremely hard with their goats, so they could take them to the local county fair. They were working on training them and making sure that they were all well fed. My son is 13 y/o and my daughter 17 y/o. They are both actively involved in 4H and they both work at a local farm feeding calves. My daughter is planning to go to school for a large animal veterinarian, so she can help more animals. My children are very hardworking kids and are very kind to everyone they meet.
My children and I have been managing all the work on the farm alone and without financial support from outside people. To help my children cope I am trying to fundraise to be able to cover the cost of building a new small barn for goats. I have never done anything like this before, but I love my kids and so I thought would give this try. After a lot of tears we are determined not to let this hold us back and we will get moving forward to a better life.
I would like to thank anyone willing to help!

Thank you to everyone that has donated to are cause so far. This is really helping are hearts heal.
