For My Sister - House Fire

I never in my life thought I’d ever create a “go fund me” We ( my family) have had many horrible tragedies in our lives but we figure it out. I’ve never been one to ever ask for HELP! So i come to you all today and I let my pride down and I’m asking for help. Help not for me BUT for my baby sister! Last night, around 10:49pm, July 3rd 2022 my sister’s entire garage, with 90% of all of her belongings , went up in flames! Thankfully not the whole house! However 90% or more of her life she has been LOST!
Back story. ( why was everything in the garage) I’m moving to Colorado soon and she and had decided to move in together to help each other out. Elizabeth has been packing her entire house. She put her whole life in the garage to prepare for moving day. My sister did not just lose material “things” she lost more then that! See our Daddy , Gene, was killed in 1987 ( we were just little kids) and our brother Jai died in 1999 and everything she had of theirs is now GONE! We cant replace any of those things! The things we each ( Daddy had 6 kids) were given when our Dad was killed wasn’t much, but anything and everything he had, we value dearly in our hearts. Losing our Brother Jai was the same, he was so young and did not have much, so all the Little things of his are so precious in our heart’s ! She also had everything she had of herself as a baby in the garage as well. We have no parents, so it’s not like we can call them and ask for copies of pictures! Everything is gone!! Things of even her children, Fox and River , are gone. All their things when they were little are GONE. Things of present day are even gone! I’ll be able to give her copies of pictures of our Daddy and Jai BUT when they both were taken from us, we divided things, so we each ( 6 siblings) could have something of our Dad’s and then when Jai was taken from us, the remaining siblings were able to take a little bit of him for ourselves. All those things my sister got is GONE! I can’t replace those for her and my heart hurts so much!
My sister did not have renters insurance bc it was an oversight when she changed auto insurance companies , that the renters had been connected too. So not only can we not replace things our of Daddy’s and Jai’s , we can’t replace $10’s of thousands of dollars of things she had in the garage. She literally will have to start over from scratch, except a little bit of clothes and a few pieces of furniture !
My sister is a 100% single Mom of two! It’s taken her forever to have the things that she did have.
Currently, she has no electricity or gas in the house and we have no idea when they will even allowed that to be turned back on. Since I’ve not moved there yet, I will put her in a hotel, until I can get to her and pray the house we are to move in at the end of July, let’s her move in early
I can’t even express the amount of devastation! However I’m so grateful to God that their lives were spared. Had she fallen asleep and not smelled the fire, things could have been much more! Elizabeth was able to get one of cats out but could not find the other. Once the fire department showed up, they made her evacuate the house. She told them that “Mr Wink’s “ was still inside The firemen were able to find him and rescued him. He needed bit of oxygen but is doing fine. I’m so thankful that the fire department responded within moments! Had they not more of the house I’m sure would had catch on fire! So understand I am beyond grateful , I just need to figure how to help her! I will help as much as I can but I’m not rich!
So I come to this platform to ask everyone for help. Please help in anyway you can! Even if it’s just a little. All proceeds will go to helping my sister provide a home again for her children and hopefully give them some of what they lost!
Please even if you can’t help financially please pray. It’ll be a long road for her!
Dear God, thank you for looking out for her life, her children, her friend and their beloved pets. She is my only sister and I love her beyond words!!
