I’m raising funds for my mother after a devastating and unexpected medical emergency. She suffered a severe intestinal blockage, which led to major complications from multiple hernias. She was in the hospital for a week and a half, but because of her other major health problems, doctors could not recommend surgery. She is now on hospice, and we have been told her life expectancy is about two weeks.

This is an incredibly painful time for our family as we try to be with her and prepare for what is ahead. Along with the emotional weight of this moment, we are facing unexpected funeral expenses and medical costs that need to be covered as soon as possible.

We also hope to travel with her to her final resting place in Mexico City within the next three months. She will be laid to rest there with her mother and three siblings, and it means so much to our family to honor that wish.
