For my Mother, against all odds

As Svetlana and her husband David celebrated bringing a new life of their baby boy into this world, she received the worst possible news which is that her mother, who lives in Russia, has lung cancer and doesn't have long to live. Her mom is allergic to some of the chemo medications, so it is limiting what the doctors can do for her. They can't operate due to the left lung being close to her heart. This is a desperate fight against time because her mother has maybe a matter of months or weeks. Svetlana is the only living relative that her mom has and she lives here in the US, so there is no one over in Russia to help her mom or make any arrangements for her moms funeral when the time should come. Svetlana needs your help to get there to say goodbye to her mom and to make final arrangements. She is asking for this amount to cover her airfare to Russia , her mom's hospice care, all the medications she needs to be comfortable and funeral expenses. She never expected to be in this position to ask for help, but she knows she must try for her mother. It is humbling to have to ask, but she knows she would never forgive herself if she didn't try everything to get to her mother as soon as she can.
