This is James before.
This is James on a Ventilator after his cardiac arrest on a Ventilator.
On November 11th, 2025, I said goodbye to my Fiancé, James, after his brave fight with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. My heart is completely broken, but I’m so proud of the strength, love, and courage he showed every single day.
James was one of the hardest-working men you could ever meet. As a mechanic, there wasn’t much he couldn’t fix — from cars and engines to anything that needed a clever mind and a steady hand. He was incredibly smart, funny, and loving, and he had a way of making everyone around him feel cared for and seen. He worked hard his whole life, not just to make a living, but to help others. If something was broken, James could and would fix it.
His battle with cancer was short and painful, but he faced it with the same determination he brought to everything in life. He was diagnosed in September 2025. Over this short time, the illness took so much from him physically. His normal weight was around 170 pounds, but by the end he was down to 113. Even then, his spirit never gave up. His last chemotherapy treatment was on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025. Shortly after, he developed a severe infection, and his left lung collapsed. On Friday, he went into cardiac arrest and was placed on a ventilator. After days of hoping and praying, I made the hardest decision of my life on November 11th at 6 PM to remove the ventilator and IVs and let him rest peacefully, free from pain.
I am raising funds to help cover James’s medical bills, funeral, and memorial expenses, and to give him the farewell he truly deserves. He fought with everything he had, and now it’s time to honor that fight and celebrate the amazing person he was. Any amount you can give, or even just sharing his story, means the world to me and our family.
James will forever be remembered for his humor, his kindness, and his ability to fix anything especially the hearts of those he loved. Thank you for helping us keep his memory alive.
With love and gratitude,
Michelle
