For my Hero Richard Bergeron, Memorial Fund

Hi, My name is Christopher Bergeron and I have started this GoFundMe page to help raise funds for My Father Richard Bergeron's memorial expenses. On Thursday, January 12th, 2023 at around 2:30 PM My father was on his way home to see his beloved dog when he was tragically taken from us in a horrible head-on collision. He never got to say goodbye to his dog Rufus who I found waiting for him when I arrived home from work at 9:45pm that night. I had not yet been notified of the accident and had to call the hospital to see if something happened. It was dark out and he didn't drive in the dark. The hospital had no record of him being there. So I decided to contact the Police. They then informed me that My father, My Best Friend, My Hero, was in a car accident and tragically passed away at the scene. I was in shock. My heart dropped as I had no idea what to say. I immediately shut down and a fog came over me. I'm still in that fog as this all seems like a bad dream. I wasn't able to say goodbye. My heart has been broken and my world shattered. I have lived with or he has lived with me my entire life. I am 40 now I got to see my Father every single day of my life unless I was on vacation. My relationship with my Father was the most important part of my life and one of a kind. As he raised me and led me to the man I am today. He was my rock and now he's gone. He was 85 but had so much life left in him. He was the sweetest man and funniest in the world. If you knew him, you would agree. My Father was the most hard-working man I have ever met. He didn't deserve this. I know that he is with My mother now and I find that as the only comforting thing. I cannot express how much this man meant to me and how my heart hurts right now. Any help is greatly appreciated.
