Today, with a heavy heart I am here to share the news that my father, Cher Chai Chang, passed away suddenly on January 16, 2022. He is no longer suffering in pain in this world. He was a great husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa. He was a man of wisdom, and a shaman medicine man who did what he could to help others when he was healthy and well. Anyone who knew him will remember his act of kindness and humbleness. He will greatly be missed and be remembered in our hearts.

 

I have set up this fundraiser for anyone able to and willing to help us alleviate any funeral expenses for our beloved father and even a small donation would be appreciated immensely. To my daddy,

 

For a few years now you have been unwell. I knew that over the years as you aged and your illness continued to grow, I would have to prepared myself for this day. I tried to prepared myself, but what I learned is that I can never ever be prepared. Wherever you are daddy, I hope you know that your mi Ab loves you so much. I am going to miss our times spent together, especially when you would tell me stories of sadness, happiness and wisdom. Growing up we didn’t have much, but I want to thank you for everything have given and shown me. You are definitely an inspiration. A real man who showed me what unconditional love is through the relationship you had with my mom. Thank you for being my daddy in this lifetime. May you rest well and no longer suffer anymore pain. I love you.
