A Heartfelt Plea for Help

My name is Joseph Buddy Amodia, and today I am humbly asking for help during one of the most painful moments of my life.

My younger brother suddenly passed away due to a vehicle accident in the Philippines. His unexpected passing has left our family heartbroken and devastated.

My brother was a fun-loving, kind, and caring person. He was the 10th sibling in our family, and like all of us, he carried so much love for the people around him. Losing him so suddenly feels unreal.

Both of our parents passed away more than a decade ago, and now our family continues to face heartbreaking losses. A few years ago, I also lost two of my older sisters, and sadly I was not able to go home to attend their funerals because I simply did not have the financial means to travel from Canada to the Philippines.

That pain still lives in my heart.

Now, losing my brother makes him the third sibling I have lost without being able to say goodbye. I cannot imagine letting this moment pass again without seeing him for the last time.

I am currently in Canada, and I am trying my best to find a way to travel home as soon as possible — even through a fly-now-pay-later option — just so I can give my brother the final farewell and respect he deserves.

I am humbly asking for help from anyone with a kind and generous heart. Any amount, even a small contribution, would mean so much to me. Your support will help cover:

• My travel expenses to the Philippines

• Funeral support for my brother

• Other costs related to his final journey on earth
