For my birthday, I want to help dad

If you don’t have the time or hate reading, like me, please take the time at least read the last paragraph.

Most people who have never met my dad or meet him for the first time think he is some bad and scary guy, but for the people who know him now, have realized that he’s the most charming guy in the whole world. Most people think that you will find your true love in a relationship, but not me. I found my true love and that’s the love for my dad. He’s my Prince Charming. He will do anything I ask him to do. He will do everything in his power to do the things people ask. And as a daughter I get angry and I get sad.. but no matter what I say to him, or how many times I walk away, he is the one that will always be standing there with his arms open. He would sacrifice the world to make me happy, whether that means that I want fast food or I want a fancy dress for a dance or just someone to talk to. Now that we are in a time of need, I want to try and repay him and give my dad the world. For my birthday, I’m asking to save the money that people were planning to use on presents or even if you weren’t going to, please send me the money and help my dad.

You may be asking why I’m starting this fundraiser. My dad wanted to help his sister, Cheryl, stain her deck. So what he did, instead of waiting for his daughter to get home or asking for help, he decided to take matter in his own hands. He got up onto a ladder and was just gonna touch up the last spot on the new room for the outdoor living space. And before he could reach it, the ladder slipped and fell. He landed the wrong way and broke his tibia plato. He ripped apart all the ligaments and tendons. For most people who ask him, he says he got kicked by “those damn monkeys.” But this has been a hard struggle for us. He has been on a really low mobility and I thought he wouldnt be able to help out again. But that’s not true. He still cooks for my grandparents every night. He doesn’t just sit on the couch and be sad. He puts a smile on his face and his brace on his leg and gets to his crutches and goes. He does laundry and dishes but as much as he wants to but that smile on his face, i see how much of a struggle he goes through. I see his heart break when he looks in the mirror to see his muscle going away because he can’t go to the gym anymore. I see his heart break when he can’t get up and walk to help grandma to the bathroom. I see his heart break when he can’t get up and reach something on the top shelf. But I try to jump in and let him supervise but that’s not why he was to put on this earth. He thinks and I think that he was put on this earth to help others. So long story goes on but we are going to have to go through surgery. Which can have many complications. I go to all of his appointments with him and I see him put on that smile so he can stay strong for me, but it kills him. After surgery, he will be going through a lot of rehab... and it’s going to be really hard on him. I only set the bar at 40,000 because I want no limit to help my dad. His insurance doesn’t cover all of the surgeries, appointments, medications and many other expenses. And I want to thank everyone that has already helped out, it means the world.

Now to not get into too many detail, I ask, please help my dad. Please help him even if you can’t donate, to please think about him. And if you can donate, any penny will help and I can assure you that all the money will be going to the greater good to help my dad. So thank you for listening to my rant. And a huge thank you for helping my dad in anyway possible! ❤️
