Hello family and friends! I've started this GoFundMe page to help my dearest friend, Samantha.

Our paths crossed in the film industry just last year, but in that time, Samantha has become an irreplaceable part of my life. In the high-pressure world of film production, where long hours and stress are constant companions, Samantha has been my unwavering support system, always showing grace and extending a helping hand during the most challenging times. Now, as she faces her own battle with ovarian cancer, it's my turn to stand by her side.

Just a month ago, Samantha was finally taking a rare and well-deserved vacation. What should have been a time of joy and relaxation took an unexpected turn with a devastating diagnosis. Samantha learned she had ovarian cancer and required immediate surgery to remove an extremely large tumor in her abdomen. Adding to this difficult situation, she had to pay for this crucial procedure out of pocket, placing an enormous financial burden on her shoulders.

Without getting in further detail about her personal life, Samantha’s mother passed away just 2 months ago and her relationship with her father and sisters is not exactly close. She is not as lucky as I am to have such close and loving relationship with family. So, as her chosen family, I’ve decided to help in the way that I can; to relieve some burden by raising money to help my friend get through this difficult time in her young life.

As someone around the same age as Samantha, this situation hits particularly close to home. I can't help but think: this could be me. She’s only 33 years old and has so much life ahead of her – her dream to become an artists' manager and to finally buy an apartment for herself. This experience has been a stark reminder to never take health or life for granted. While I feel fortunate for my own circumstances, I know that luck shouldn't determine whether someone receives the care they need. That's why I'm committed to helping Samantha in every way possible.

The medical expenses associated with Samantha's treatment continue to mount. Between the recent surgery, ongoing treatments, regular hospital visits, and necessary medications, the costs are overwhelming. While Samantha focuses on her recovery, for my birthday this year (November 30), I am reaching out to my community; to you, to please donate what you can to Samantha. That is my birthday wish this year.
