For my Best Friend Annie

Hi Everyone, My name is Ellawyn, I’m 11 years old and I live on the outskirts of Hayle in Cornwall.

6 Weeks ago my best friend Annie got diagnosed with T-Cell Acute lymphoblastic leukemia Also known as ALL, it is a rare blood cancer that is fast-growing and starts in your bone marrow and spreads.

ALL is a serious condition. But treatment can help. In many cases, it can cure it.

From having a rash on the back of her neck within 24 hours Annie was taken to Great Orman street hospital, had a port fitted in her chest and started her chemo journey.

Her world has been turned upside down!

I would like to raise £500.00 for my friend and her family, to help them though this difficult time. I would like to raise this money to help pay for some crafting items, maybe some art classes when she is feeling up to it, maybe a Jelly Cat or two and to help the family while her mum is not working and her dad has been taking time off work.

For this I will be doing an Aquathlon, but not one Aquathlon, I will be doing this 3 times within three consecutive days. This consists of a 4 kilometer board paddle from Hayle to Gwithian, 1.5 kilometer Swim from Gwithian to Godrevy and 4.5 kilometer Run from Godrevy back to Hayle along the Golden Sands Beach.

I will be starting my journey on the 12th of August and finishing on the 14th.
