Hello, everyone! I am Milos.
I'm reaching out to you through this fundraising campaign to humbly request your support in achieving a life-changing milestone – my surgery (top surgery). I am a trans man (pronouns: he/him) living in Puerto Rico.
Why Top Surgery? I chose top surgery because it is a crucial step in my journey towards becoming the authentic and confident person I've always wanted to be. It's not just about appearance; it's about mental and emotional well-being, self-acceptance, and a brighter future.
The Financial Challenge: Unfortunately, financial constraints have placed this goal out of my reach. I have healthcare insurance but this procedure is not covered by it. As a full-time teacher and graduate student, combined with the high cost of medical procedures, has made it impossible for me to afford the surgery on my own. After the surgery, I will be unable to work for a few months, and my partner will also be taking some time off to help care for me. As a teacher, there are not many sick days available throughout the school year.

Your contributions will directly support my top surgery, easing the financial burden and helping me take this important step towards self-discovery and happiness.

¡Ayuda a financiar mi cirugía de pecho!
Resumen: ¡Hola a todxs! Soy Milos. Me estoy comunicando con ustedes a través de esta campaña de recaudación de fondos para solicitar humildemente su apoyo en alcanzar un hito que cambiará mi vida: mi cirugía (cirugía de pecho). Soy un hombre trans (pronombres: él/él) que vive en Puerto Rico.
¿Por qué la cirugía de pecho?: Elegí la cirugía de pecho porque es un paso crucial para mi afirmación de género y en mi camino hacia ser la persona auténtica y segura que siempre he querido ser. No se trata solo de la apariencia; se trata del bienestar mental y emocional, la auto aceptación y un futuro más brillante.
El desafío financiero: Desafortunadamente, las limitaciones financieras han puesto este objetivo fuera de mi alcance. Tengo seguro médico, pero este procedimiento no está cubierto. Como maestro a tiempo completo y estudiante de posgrado, combinado con el alto costo de los procedimientos médicos, me ha resultado imposible costear la cirugía por mi cuenta. Después de la cirugía, no podré trabajar durante algunos meses, y mi pareja también tomará un tiempo libre para ayudarme en el cuidado, resultando que tampoco podrá generar ingresos durante ese tiempo.
¿Por qué necesito tu ayuda?: Me estoy acercando a ustedes, mis amigos, familia y comunidad, con la esperanza de que su generosidad pueda marcar una gran diferencia. Sus contribuciones apoyarán directamente a mi cirugía de afirmación de género, aliviando la carga financiera y ayudándome a dar este paso importante hacia el auto descubrimiento y la felicidad.
