Hi everyone,

As some/most of you know, Mila - Alex's fur-baby recently went to the vet to get spayed last week and, while this is a very standard procedure, she, unfortunately, hasn't been doing well since she came back home. She's spent the last few days in emergency care with doctors trying everything in their power to help turn her situation around.

Mila means "Miracle" in a few languages, and that's what we praying for over the last few days but unfortunately, and it breaks my heart to say this, things are not looking good and Alex and Steve are looking at having to make a very difficult decision today. I ask that even as you read this you keep them in your thoughts and send them all the positive vibes and energy and prayers.

While there is nothing that can make up for what is likely to happen later today, a few of us wanted to start this GoFundMe to come together as a community to help with some of the astronomical bills that come with what they've gone through. This is a harrowing time for them and we don't have actual information about what their medical bills are, or how much will help, but we wanted to support them with whatever this group can pitch in with.

Mila is a sweet and funny little baby girl. She’s a ball of energy and so so smart. Alex and Steve really made a loving home for her and she’s paid them with love all the time. We are hoping we can show them just as much love during this time.
