From Leila's family...
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our sweet Leila. She passed away Sunday, June 30th with her husband and family at her side.
As many of you know she was diagnosed with Metastatic breast cancer on February 2, 2016. She endured over 10 different chemo therapy regimens, over 150 chemo treatments, a year of hormonal therapy, brain surgery, 15 radiation treatments and numerous complications. Through it all she showed us how to live with grace, bravery and dignity, rarely complaining and finding joy in every day.
She is survived by her loving husband, Enrique, her parents, siblings, grandparents and many relatives who loved her dearly and most importantly her precious son, Milo.

“The most meaningful way anyone could “honor” me is by helping Milo achieve what I know he is capable of—by establishing an educational savings fund for him"
As Enrique begins to navigate life as a single father raising a child with Down Syndrome all donations will be used for educational and enrichment opportunities for Milo’s life such as classes, therapy, camps, lessons, future educational endeavors, and anything else that Milo needs.
