For Micah’s Heroes
I will be doing a very tough challenge on 21st August in aid of an extremely worthy cause. My baby cousin, Micah, was born with CDH which before him, none of our family even knew existed.
Congenital Diaphramic Hernia (CDH) caused Micah to be born with most of his organs in his chest. He has already had 5 surgeries in his short 3 weeks. The doctors and nurses in the NICU at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital are absolute heroes who have saved his life and kept him fighting. I want to do this challenge in honour of Micah to raise funds for the amazing staff in the NICU ward at the Queen Elizabeth.
I will be walking for 21 hours 14 minutes as Micah was born at 21:14 on the 5th July 2021. I will do this with a 6 pound 5 ounce backpack on, as this is what he weighed at birth so it will be like he’s walking with me
I want to take the time in this message to show my love and support to Micah’s parents, my cousin Nicole and Ian, who have been so strong and amazing throughout. Micah is so lucky to have them as his parents❤️
Any support and donations would be greatly appreciated in honour of our little fighter
