Hello, to all of our family and friends!❤️ I really don’t know where to start honestly. Let’s just talk about “Cameron.” Those of you who know him, love him. He has a kind, giving heart for others. He loves to aggravate those he loves and make you laugh at the same time. (I know those of you who can attest to this with me!) He can argue his point like any practicing attorney out there! (His aunt Brittany can attest to this as she’s always said this about him since he was a little boy!) He is tough, determined, and fights his battle mostly silent except to those who can on rare occasion pull it out of him. He always has! He looks very normal on the outside appearance in fact nobody would have a clue. His struggle is with a silent disease but it is anything but silent to him and those close to him. He has 2 autoimmune disease’s, Ulcerative Colitis and was recently diagnosed with Crohn’s. As most of you know after multiple years of medications that didn’t work and many hospital stays Cam went through a total of 5 surgeries within a 6 month period, 2 of which were emergency surgeries and ended with being in the ICU. He had his colon/large intestine removed. Doctor’s then deemed him as a “Medical Mystery” because they didn’t have any answers to what his body was doing and informed us that this is not something to be proud of. After having his jpouch he continued to heal at home. Not to mention the many medicines he still has to take daily. They told us things should get better after that first year but unfortunately it hasn’t. He has been sent to the best known IBD doctor in Atlanta who has tried him on trial drugs which still have not helped. He is CONSTANTLY sick and toughs it out working a full time job to pay their bills. Even the specialist asked how he works as sick as he is. On his last visit he was told that they have ran out of options and trials. The only solution would be a reversal of his jpouch and a permanent ileostomy bag. He has been referred to The Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. As we speak him and Amanda are on a plane there. He has an appointment tomorrow. They will be going over all of his medical records to get this second opinion. If you can’t donate please be in prayer for supernatural healing with us! A miracle! I know that God has amazing plans for his life and that being sick daily isn’t part of that. I’m sure this will not be a one time trip with one time expenses for them to go out there. We are helping them as much as we can. I just don’t want the burden of finances to cause any extra stress on the 2 of them. All funds will go directly to an account that they will have access to all funds. I know this is super long but I wanted to inform those that don’t know the details of why I’m starting this Go Fund Me. I honestly didn’t have a clue for the goal they would need but I will adjust as we find out if needed. I will continue to update as we find out more details. Thank you all for your support! We appreciate it more than you will ever know!
