Hi, my name is Cheryl Nestor.
September, 2023 one of my 18yr old twin daughters, named Amanda was diagnosed with Stage IV Cancer. This cancer is called Rhabdomyosarcoma, which is rare.
This is something a parent should never have to witness, watching your precious child go through the trials and tribulations of this HORRIBLE disease. But unfortunately many, many parents do.
Amanda started her Senior year of High School with such high hopes of having her last year be the best, knowing graduation isn't far away. However, that changed quickly. She is now withdrawn from school all together. The "every day norm" is no longer. Amanda loves to sing, being outdoors hiking, swimming, playing frisbee, soccer and football. Her favorite football team is the Cincinnati Bengals. She also played trumpet for 4 years in her school's band. So musically talented! She is getting chemotherapy weekly and has started her radiation therapy in Boston, Ma. We live in Connecticut, 2 hrs away from the hospital. Her father and I aren't able to be at our jobs all of the time, making it extremely difficult to maintain our home finances and the financial burden with medical bills. As I said, Amanda is a twin to my daughter Olivia and we also have an older daughter, Samantha.
My family and I are asking for your donations so that we can continue to focus on our girls healing and with Hope, Faith and Prayers get this AWFUL disease out of her!
