#ForeverMatthew – Help Sophia Give Her Son the Farewell He Deserves

On behalf of my sister Sophia, I am creating this fundraiser during the most heartbreaking time of her life.

No mother ever imagines that a simple goodbye will become the beginning of a nightmare.

For 75 heartbreaking days, a mother searched endlessly for her son, Matthew. Every day was filled with hope that he would come home safely. She never stopped believing she would see her son again.

On June 30, 2026, an unidentified body was discovered inside a chimney at a school in Queens. Tragically, our family was not informed that the body found was Matthew. While our mother continued searching, making calls, pleading for answers, and desperately trying to find her son, Matthew remained at the Medical Examiner's Office for nearly a month before she finally received the devastating confirmation.

The unimaginable became reality. Instead of bringing Matthew home alive, Sophia is now faced with planning the funeral of the son she never stopped searching for.

No parent should ever have to experience this kind of heartbreak. The emotional pain is beyond words, and now she is also faced with the overwhelming financial burden of laying her son to rest.
