Throwdown Fund For Maddy Campbell

Donation protected
Joining CrossFit DireWolf in October last year, Chris Campbell was looking for ways to cope with the tragic loss of his daughter the month before. Maddy was just 17 years old when she died from heart failure in her sleep due to undetected hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Chris is a valued member of the DireWolf community, and we want to support him and his family as much as possible. All funds raised will go directly to supporting Chris's charity of choice, C-R-Y, helping them detect and cure the condition that cost Maddy her life.

Every week in the UK, at least 12 young people lose their lives to undiagnosed heart conditions. Set up to raise awareness and offer heart screenings, C-R-Y organises echocardiograms for 14-35 year-olds, and it was for this charity that Maddy's Memorial Ball was arranged.

Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) was established in 1995 to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths (YSCD, SADS) through awareness, screening and research; and to support affected families. CRY funds fast-track services at the CRY Centre for Inherited Cardiovascular Conditions and Sports Cardiology and the CRY Centre for Cardiac Pathology.
