My name is Hazel, you probably know me from my videos on YouTube as Komorebi Tales. I’m raising funds for my cat, Luna.

Many of you already know us from the previous fundraiser, where we reached the goal to cover Luna’s hospital bills and to get a car for emergencies. I closed that fundraiser as promised once the goal was reached. Every cent went toward his medical care and making sure I can get him to the hospital quickly if something happens again.

Unfortunately, Luna’s health journey is not over and things took a bad turn these past weeks.

We are currently facing ongoing medical issues that still don’t have clear answers. He has recurring dizzy episodes, signs of pain, and recently scratched his eye, which required another vet visit. We are doing repeated checkups, ear examinations, medications, special hypoallergenic food, and possibly blood tests to monitor his kidney function due to the anti inflammatory medication he needs for pain relief.

None of these ongoing costs are covered by insurance as these symptoms started during the first 6 months of starting the insurance which turns out is not covered. And now it is all considered as a pre-existing condition so nothing related to it will be covered.

On top of that, Luna has multiple suspected food allergies, which means we are in the middle of a long elimination diet. The special foods are expensive, and often he refuses to eat them, which leads to even more trial and error. I have also had to invest in things like an automatic feeder, air purifier, new bedding, and other adjustments to try to remove possible triggers.

The costs are adding up quickly, and I am running out of my savings.

It is very difficult for me to ask for help again. I truly mean that. But Luna depends entirely on me, and I will do everything I can to give him a comfortable and safe life, even if it means to feel ashamed and embarrassed.

This fundraiser is specifically for his ongoing medical expenses, including:

• Vet visits and emergency appointments

• Diagnostic tests such as blood work

• Medication

• Special diet and supplements

• Any potential future procedures if needed

I am not setting a higher goal for now, I will increase it gradually if and when new bills come in, so everything stays transparent and connected to real expenses.
