Where do I even start with this….. 8 years ago I walked into Bridge House Restaurant as a customer… or Spy.. I sat at the bar, ordered lunch.. it was slightly busy.. I was greeted by Pam, big smile, very much on her game. It’s was like she as in three places at once. Bartending, in the dining room and plain and simple working her ass off. Even though she had a lot going on she simply made you feel like you were the olny customer in the restaurant. We chatted, we laughed a bit and she was just amazing. Little did she know my main reason for visiting is that I was there to scope out a life changing moment for me. I was on the cusp of making an Investment in Bridge House and myself by buying into this business. I thought to myself by watching Pam “ she’s all in and I need her on my team” Pam helped me drive my decision to Invest as I saw an Ace. I knew she would help me succeed if she believed in me. That’s the bond I hoped for and that’s the bond we have had today. A lot of adversity a lot of everything.. laugh, argue and love … all the emotions . I would do anything for her and her family as she would do for me. She was there as we grew our business, she mentored so many new employees.. she didn’t have to care so much but that was who she was… . With Pam giving her time, Effort and energy, watching the business as if it was her own with me. Priceless. There is not a single person that has been to Bridge House more then 1 time that hasn’t met or know Pam. She is the ray of sunshine, the mentor and one of the most dedicated I’ve ever worked with… Fast forward to today…..
With a heavy heart I have to ask for help for Pam… she has been under hospitalization and put in a self induced coma to fight pneumonia. Without giving deep detail.. it’s a foggy road ahead with little clarity..this has happened so quick. Last Thursday she was rocking and rolling on the dining room floor taking care of our guests. Now she’s in an unknown place. Pam is the best…I could go on forever about her and about how loving her family is,upon reaching out to her Husband he has been open I am forever grateful that he is giving me the time to call and be updated daily. She’s the Rock. I heard it one so many times . The DiGirolamo name has legendary roots in this state in the hospitality/restaurant industry she lived up to that daily. I ask anyone reading this … Please consider supporting her and her family by donating to this unfortunate situation. Pam has touched so many people over the years she has brightened every customer she has waited on every shift she has worked. On behalf of all of our employees, her family, friends and customers.
