For Lorna... with love.
Donation protected
If you’ve followed Lorna for a while, you’ll know that she really is one of the good ones. She’s a rare breed!
She’s warm. She’s funny. She’s the type of person who’ll share the real, honest, vulnerable parts of life and somehow still manage to make you laugh through tears. She’s also an incredibly devoted mammy to Charlie, a brilliant wife and partner to Terry, and the kind of friend who turns up for everyone, no matter what she has going on in her own world.
Right now, Lorna’s little family is facing a tough chapter. Her husband Terry, who is also Charlie’s full-time carer, was recently diagnosed with cancer. He’s just undergone surgery and is now at home recovering, with results and next steps still to come.
In the middle of all this, Lorna has taken 12 weeks of unpaid leave from work so she can be there for both Terry and Charlie. No drama, no fuss... she's just doing what needs to be done, as she always does.
Since Lorna shared her life update with the world, my DM’s have exploded with messages from people who just want to do something…. ANYTHING….. to show her how much they care. So many people have asked if they can donate in some way, to help take the pressure off somehow. And so here we are….. and this fundraiser is for those of us who’ve been following Lorna’s story — who’ve laughed with her (and cried with her too), who’ve felt uplifted, understood, or just a bit less alone because of her openness, vulnerability, and incredible good nature.
Right now, there’s an opportunity for us to return some of that energy and to ease the pressure just a little and offer practical help during a time when there’s already so much to juggle.
If you’re in a position to donate or share, it would mean the absolute world. Every euro will help lighten the financial load and give Lorna and her family the space to focus on what really matters: looking after each other.
Let’s give this beautiful family one less thing to worry about!
