Good Evening my Soul Searchers Australia Family,

I would like to start off by introducing myself,

Mike and I'm one of the Founders of Soul Searchers Australia and the National President.

I would like to introduce you to Jaxx, he's a little Soldier who I met recently who absolutely broke and won my heart over at the same time.

I am reaching out to you all to please help by making a monetary donation , may it be small or big, every cent really counts.

Christmas is around the corner and Jaxx needs a TAB to assist with his school work and his additional learning needs.

I would also like to get him a few of his favourite things to put together to gift this little Soldier.

I have a quick rundown of what Jaxx has endured and I'll let you be the judge if he deserves something special to put a grin on his face.

Jaxx is a 7 year old boy living with Charge Syndrome, Jaxx spent most of his life in Sydney children’s hospital. When Jaxx was just 2 months old he had a procedure carried out "Laryngobronchooesophagoscopy" which resulted in Jaxx’s lungs collapsing in theatre, he was rushed to the icu & placed in a drug induced coma.

After 4 longs days & the doctors telling his family to say thier final goodbyes to their boy Jaxx, he finally woke up and he spent another week in hospital recovering before he could leave.

Jaxx has had 3 more successful surgeries since.

When Jaxx was 8 months old he had heart surgery to repair a valve in his heart that didn’t close at birth, he spent some time staying at Westmead children’s hospital till he fully recovered.

From Birth Jaxx was fed through a nasalgastric tube until he was 10 months old when he had a gastrostomy button surgically placed into his stomach. Till the age of 5 Jaxx was fed this way. He can now drink out a drink bottle & eat soft foods. His favourite is Chocolate Icecream and Oreo's.

Jaxx was also born deaf & has a pronto device fitted, while he waits for surgery for either BAHAS or cochlear implants.

In 2023 Jaxx had a major hand reconstruction due to being born with a hypoplastic thumb & no driver bone. His index finger was replaced with his thumb to give him some bit of normality to be able to use part of his hand.

Jaxx needs help with every day living he can’t change bath, change himself or put his shoes & socks on.

Jaxx is still in nappies & no sign of using toilet in the near future. Jaxx attends a special needs school where he has come so far & can now write his own name.

Jaxx does speech therapy once a week & waiting for a physio therapist to become available to help with his motor skills.

Jaxx has also been diagnosed with Cat Eye Syndrome which doctor's have said he has a high chance that he will go blind.

Jaxx has 3 siblings 2 older brothers & a younger sister who adore him to death and try their best to help Mum and Dad to care for him.

Jaxx is in constant medical care at Sydney Children's Hospital which makes it extremely difficult for the family when they're having to work, and raise a family on top of all their travels to the hospital.
